FAQ

How will I get to the retreat?

Guests are responsible for booking their own flights to the retreat, but we will make recommendations for ideal flight paths. Transportation to and from the airport, excursions, hikes, and other included activities is included in your retreat price.  If you choose to take any adventures outside of our planned offerings we can help you coordinate with drivers and tour guides.

For clients interested in booking all spaces in the retreat, arrangements can be made for private air travel.

What will the daily schedule look like?

Guests are welcome to participate in as many activities as they choose. Click here for an example of our daily offering. Schedules will vary based on location and availability.

WILL I LOSE WEIGHT?

La Luz is not a weight loss retreat or detox.  Guests are welcome to make food choices as they see fit, so weight loss is possible during the retreat, but not our focus or guarantee. Our food and drink offerings will be curated with the aim of creating an nutritious, balanced, and delicious experience.  We hope you leave our retreat feeling energized, strong, and fulfilled.

WILL ALCOHOL BE SERVED?

Should you enjoy a spicy margarita at sunset, or a glass of wine thoughtfully paired with your meal it will be available to you. La Luz is not specifically a detox retreat and guests are free to consume the provided alcohol responsibly. We will have a mixologist in the evenings for handcrafted cocktails and mocktails alike!

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN ALL OF THE ACTIVITIES?

La Luz is an offering which we would like to be as unique as our guests who attend.  You are welcome to join in for as many or as few activities as your interests and energy levels dictate.

Each retreat package includes unlimited in-house massages, as well as beauty and wellness treatments dependent on the location and availability. Additional massages, facials and spa treatments can be arranged.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

We recommend packing as you would on any tropical holiday, with the addition of enough active wear to participate in our daily offerings.  Light clothing, layers, bathing attire, reef-safe sunscreen, bug spray and hats are all recommended.  There will be a photographer present to capture your most fabulous moments. Beach towels will be provided for the pool and sweat towels during pilates classes
